So Jesus said to them, "Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, 'move from here to there,' and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you. However, this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting."

Friends and Family of Mount Zion 2nd Baptist Church, the Daniel Fast is a 21-day spiritual journey that focuses on prayer, fasting, and seeking God's guidance. Below is a 21-day prayer focus with scriptures, designed to deepen your relationship with God and align your heart with His will.

Fast Forward Suggestions:

1. Fruits, Vegetables and Water Only (This option includes Beans and Potatoes)

2. No Social Media 

3. No Sweets, Bread, Fried Foods and/or Coffee 

4. No Fast Food or Restaurants

“How good and pleasant it is when kindred live together in unity.”

 

Day 1 – Consecration as One Body

Prayer Point: Lord, set us apart together for Your purposes.
Scripture (NRSV):

“Consecrate yourselves, for tomorrow the LORD will do wonders among you.”
—Joshua 3:5

 

Day 2 – Unity of Spirit

Prayer Point: Bind our hearts together beyond preference and personality.
Scripture (NRSV):

“I therefore, the prisoner in the Lord, beg you to lead a life worthy of the calling to which you have been called, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, making every effort to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.”

Day 3 – One Accord Prayer

Prayer Point: Teach us to pray together with heaven’s rhythm.

“When the day of Pentecost had come, they were all together in one place.”

Day 4 – One Mind, One Purpose

Prayer Point: Align our thoughts with Christ and with one another.

“Make my joy complete: be of the same mind, having the same love, being in full accord and of one mind.”

Day 5 – Love That Covers

Prayer Point: Let love be the glue that holds us together.

“Above all, maintain constant love for one another, for love covers a multitude of sins.”

Day 6 – Healing Old Divisions

Prayer Point: Heal wounds that have lingered too long.

Prayer Point: Give us one vision for the future You are unfolding.

Day 8 – Humility Before God

Prayer Point: Strip us of pride and clothe us in grace.

Day 9 – Strength for the Journey

Prayer Point: Renew our strength as we move forward together.

Day 10 – Peace Among Us

Prayer Point: Let peace rule in our hearts and our church.

Day 11 – One Voice of Praise

Prayer Point: Tune our voices to heaven’s harmony.

Day 12 – Forgiveness Flowing Freely

Prayer Point: Free us from bitterness and resentment.

Day 13 – Faith for the Future

Prayer Point: Strengthen our collective faith.

Prayer Point: Anoint us anew for the work ahead.

Day 18 – Obedient Hearts

Prayer Point: Make us quick to obey Your voice.

Day 19 – Forward Movement

Prayer Point: Help us move forward without fear.

Prayer Point: Knit us together as family.
